As more and more people seek out the non-ordinary states of consciousness provided by the classic psychedelics, as well as ketamine—an anesthetic with “psychedelic” qualities prescribed off-label for disorders such as treatment-resistant depression—it has become more common for adjacent support services to offer a harm-reduction approach to those who are considering using psychoactive substances and/or those who have used them. Including these supportive services can benefit the individual’s overall experience as they help to clarify the transformative insights or difficult challenges experienced during their journey.
Psychedeliccouch provides supportive Preparation sessions before the experience, and afterward we provide what is known as the process of Integration—how to include non-ordinary consciousness insights into facets of your daily life. We are not present for administration of your psychoactive substance, and we do not make referrals related to accessing the experience.
Perhaps most important, we do provide the before-and-after support system for understanding both the potential benefits and the potential risks as well as the potential for transformation.
